Prologue
Chris first crossed our path in the back-alleys of Missoula, Montana in the fall of 2005. If my memory serves me right, he had a broken arm and a wild story to go along with it. The fresh-faced and wild-eyed freshman has since become a globe-trotting journalist who now resides in Kapaa, Hawaii reporting on the environmental issues of our generation. Chris inspires me because he is unafraid to live life on his own terms. Whether it was moving to rural Idaho to get his foot in the journalism door, or moving to South America, he doesn't shy away from the unknown. He reminds us that our dreams are waiting for us to track them down, and the hardest step is the first one out the door.
